Found at market in England, we are smitten with this gleaming Vintage Covered Serving Dish, circa the 1930s. Produced by the esteemed silversmiths at Elkington & Co., these divided covered silverplate dishes were a versatile serving piece traditionally used for presenting and keeping multiple types of food warm and separated during a meal. The divider allowed you to serve two or three different dishes—such as vegetables, sauces, or condiments—without mixing flavors or ingredients.
